Early Life
Claire Elizabeth Foy was born on April 16, 1984, in Stockport, England. She attended Aylesbury High School and went on to study acting at the Liverpool John Moores University and the Oxford School of Drama.
Career
Foy's breakthrough role came in 2016 when she was cast as Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix drama series "The Crown." Her performance earned her a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
Foy has also starred in films such as "First Man" (2018) and "The Girl in the Spider's Web" (2018). In 2021, she received an Academy Award nomination for her role in "Promising Young Woman."
